Temperature:
Sound travels at different speeds depending on temperature, air pressure and humidity.
But for the sake of simplicity, we only ask for temperature, if you are unsure you can use 15°C (59°F), you will still get an answer with an extremely small margin of error.

Usage:
When you see the flash, or whatever is causing the sound, press "Start".
Once you hear the sound, press "Stop", and you can see how long you had to wait for the sound and how far away it was created.
A log is created for each time you use it, so you can compare, for example if you are now scouting for lightning.
The log is not saved, if you close/change the page the log will disappear!
